rakimages asked:
I want to build an electronic sync pulse activated device that allows me to trigger a contact closure when an audio beep from a cd headphone or line out signal is recieved. The application here is to create a prerecorded stage performance on the right channel of a CD and a sycronization pulse on the left. The pulse would trigger an actuator in a robotic performer which would in effect create the illusion of lipsyncing. Does anyone have a scematic or how how yo build this device. It if is already built what is the product name? Thanks!

ishtiaqphysics@yahoo.com asked: Hello respected sir,
I have just passed my A-level in mathematics+physics. I am considering a career in applied mathematics because I love to be challenged by math and would like to figure out ways to use maths in electronics engineering, especially in communications theories. Signals, waves, etc.
But I am not sure that should I become an electronics engineer or go to a PhD in applied mathematics? I am in confusion that if I am not an electronic engineer, how would I be able to solve complex problems in this field? Thanks for giving me some time.
Reginald
