Brooke asked:
1. the electronic geometry does not consider
antibonding orbitals, whereas the molecular
geometry does.
2. the polarity of the bonds influences the
molecular geometry, but does not influence
the arrangement of the electrons.
3. the molecular geometry refers to how the
electrons and atoms are arranged in three
dimensions, but the electronic geometry indi-
cates the hybridization in two dimensions.
4. the regions of high electron density differ
for the electronic and molecular geometries.
5. the electronic geometry refers to how
the electrons are arranged, but the molecu-
lar geometry indicates the net shape of the
molecule.

Azure Z asked: The bridge collapse in Minnesota made me think of this…
I’ve heard before that if your car ends up going into deep water, that you will probably not be able to open the car doors because of the water pressure. I heard that to escape from your submerged car, you would need to roll down the windows.
That was fine back in the days when cars had cranks to roll the windows down, but now, all the windows have electronic push button controls. Those controls probably won’t work if your car is underwater. Is there some way to get the windows down in that sort of emergency? Or should we just be carrying something heavy to smash our windows with in emergencies?

Nikki H asked: Tried to start my Dodge Stratus last night with the key that doesn’t have the electronic chip in it (lost my other keys and wasnt thinking). Car didnt start obviously I tried several times until I realized that was why. Found the other key and car started up fine and ran. I turned it off and came inside and now this morning the car won’t start. Could I have ruined something?

I went out and locked and unlocked the doors, then tried to start it and no luck. Security light was not on, so I tried it again while in the car. I got the car to try to turn over this time and pumped the gas and got it going! It ran fine – drove it around and turned it off again and restarted perfectly. THANK YOU!!!!!
