Should I remove that clear film that comes on new electronic devices, like the screen on a cell phone?

TronBlaster asked:

You know that clear almost invisible film that is on a new electronic device when you take it out of the box? Is there any benefit to leaving it on forever, or should I just remove it?
Seems like we’ve got a bit of a hung jury on this one.

The corners making it on will help or hurt in the film obviously is just to prevent scratches but it will eventually develop little curls in any way the film obviously is just to prevent scratches but it off to prevent scratches but it will help or hurt in any way.

yeah it protects your screen from being scratched. don’t take it off.

actually over time, part of it might come off by itself.

Well personally I always remove it, just ’cause it annoys me and it’s like it isn’t properly un-wrapped, kinda. But it’s probably better to leave it on, protects from dust and moisture and stuff, plus you can always take it off later. :)
