When did RCA become the worst consumer electronic company in the world?

I have the Trueflat tv that has the damn automatic on/off problem and the dvd player’s remote has several buttons that don’t work anymore! I thought RCA was better than store brands like Emerson, Orion, Visio, etc but apparently it has outsourced it manufacturing to some cheap company!

   For budget brand rca however.

   Actually RCA was bought out by FRENCH owned Thompson,started assembly in Mexico using Malaysian,Phillipine produced parts and it all went to H%#* in Handbasket.
